Ronald W. LeBlanc, CFP®
After graduating from the University of Oregon in 1974, Ron went to work for the Oregon Department of Revenue as a corporate income tax auditor. After spending three years there, and another three years with a local Salem, Oregon data processing company, his interest in financial planning led him to join a Portland financial planning firm.
As a partner in the firm, he helped grow the company to 18 offices in Oregon and Washington with a professional group of over 100 Certified Financial Planner™ professionals.
After 15 years with the company, he founded The Legacy Group, Ltd. and continued his work as a sole practitioner. He is now retired and serves as a consultant to the firm.
Ron was awarded the Certified Financial Planner™ professional designation in 1985 and has been an active leader in the financial planning industry. In addition to serving as President of the Oregon Society Institute of Certified Financial Planners, Ron is also a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Ron’s community service has included serving as President of the Chemeketa Community College Foundation, President of the Rotary Club of South Salem, President of Rockwest Training Company, and Board of Directors and Chairman of the Planned Giving Advisory Board of the Chemeketa Community College Foundation. He has also served on numerous other nonprofit boards.
In 1996, the city of Salem awarded Ron the Willard C. Marshall Special Citizen Award for his work in raising money for the development of the Salem Riverfront Park.
Ron is married to Rebecca and they have two daughters and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he likes to fly fish for steelhead, golf, and stay current on political and current events.
